Mondkopf “Song of Shadows”

He and She would one day
Burn in hell for this

With molten lava tears
One farewell lovers kiss

Their blistered skin
Conjoined
In rapturous bliss
Yonside the moons eclipse

Locked in everlasting
Lovers tryst

They met within the vast abyss
Passed amidst evangelists

Enshrouded in forbidding mists
Choked by worldly sorrow

Shortened days not lending morrow
Not inclined to beg nor borrow

The left hand path most scarce dare follow
Then led them to a darkened hollow

At lowest ebb the sun did wallow
Drowsing as this void it yawned

Furtherance strictly forsworn
Deserting of these eyes of scorn

They ventured forth bereft of warn
While mourning angels prayed for morn

Fearless front guard did they flaunt
Whilst echoes whisper’d
Tempting taunt

“Come inside!”

Within the cortex of this cleft
They bid their due and just address

Requesting needful refuge from
Distress

Panicked minds unable to
Suppress
They evanesced

That said
With very blackest hearts now in some way
Better dressed

He and She shall one day
Burn in hell for this

With molten lava tears
One farewell lovers kiss

Their blistered skin
Conjoined
In rapturous bliss
Yonside the moons eclipse

Locked in everlasting
Lovers tryst

Theirs were the roots of
An unknown evil

Nourishing the
Blackest eyes

Purblind not by
Throes of upheaval

Yearning duly satisfied

Pacified by memory unglorified

Remembrance of a time when
Lovers simply had to die

Nowise were they disqualified
From afterlife

Betwixt them not a snapped bough
Unstitched of that which mortals
Gagged and tied

Swift painless death wouldst be their pride
This night

Howbeit, their final breath was then denied

For this was neither time
Nor place

For disgraced saints
Only sinners

This hellfire
In utero
entomb’d within them

Clothed with joy
Whilst rind was flayed

Dying day
Their serenade

Leading this
Bizarre charade

For tis
The Devil’s Masquerade

He and She burn in
Eternal hell for this

Whilst molten lava teardrops
Seal their one enduring kiss

Their finite skin
Conjoined
Their rapturous bliss
Provides the moon eclipse

Locked in everlasting
Lovers tryst

  1. Going for a 3rd read. It’s absolutely brilliant!!!
If this were a book I can honestly say it would be the 2nd in my entire life I’d read start to finish without stopping.
My first ever was Stephen King’s THE DARK HALF, no word of a lie.
I am truly engulfed in this.
    Please keep it coming.
    I thirst for more.
    Always
    xo

  2. This is awesome..I could see this as a novel, I’m already lost in the world you’ve created and It is most hypnotic! I know I say this a lot but it is the truth..hahaha…I can’t wait for more! Bravo Keeper!! Xoxo

  3. I am in complete and utter awe. I am at a loss for words of praise that even begin to do this piece justice. You are by far the most talented writer I have had the pleasure of reading. Keeper…. do…not….EVER….put the quill down. Promise me………..You have created a most insatiable appetite within…I..NEED more……until then…..I will have no choice but to wait. The second hand on the clock ticking agonizingly slow…..<3
