i wish
i wish
that you could see
what i see
would give my all
to see you standing tall
with faith abiding
doing that precisely which comes naturally to you
moving every mountain to make rapturous the view
proving there exists a light
in every darkened corner kissed
i wish
i wish
that you could see
what i see

stand up every blessing and be counted in thy name
for thine is gift most bountiful
can soundly change the game
not a word of praise unfounded
this or any other day
has to be another way to make you see
what i see most decisively
try to be in my shoes
i do cordially invite thee
to walk without a fraught thought for the course and where it might lead
make the cut and justify it
trust your gut and bust it trying
just enough to testify the ancient rite of flying
soaring
scoring skies with eyes adoring
braiding dead of night to morning
second sight imploring the like-minded to confide their stories
night need not affright when there is daylight to be spun
glory knows no measure of the fame accrued by one
come together
weather storms
find the tethers
kind in form
go one better
try them all
teach them how to rise from fall
use that shout
put out the call
show devout
to timeless cause
do not seek the eyes of fools
or fools are all you’ll see
take the fall and make it steep
for blindest faith endorses greatest leaps
play the game for e’er prevailing keeps

i wish
i wish
that you could see
what i’m inclined to see
the kind of fight that need not waste time choosing battles wisely
the kind of brave that sides with resolution
not affray
the kind obliged to seize both night and day
reuniting light and shade
underwriting blindest faith
guiding lost souls
finding ways to aid their plight, escape the blight and ride out pouting tidal waves

i wish
i wish
that one fine day
you could see what i see
would give my all
to see you standing tall
with testifying grace
doing that precisely which comes naturally to you
soothing eyes confiding timeless truths

i wish
i wish
that one fine day
you could see what i see
i hope and pray
that you already do
one reminder timely
all it takes to reinstate the blindest faith deprived confiding
i believe in you
will always do
subject not to winds of change
underpinned by every blessing counted in thy name
dignified a single wish
to see what i see
time and time again
a mighty brave with flame so bright
both sun and moon delight
the kind of wings that sing a song of everlong when they take flight
need not wrong two times to make one right
for i believe in you
with blindest faith
