Dreamers Imagine

Inspired by and fused from the essence of “Imagine” by John Lennon. For all the dreamers in my view.

John Lennon “Imagine (Instrumental)”

you may say i’m a dreamer
but i’m not the only one
i hope someday to see the moon in courtship with the sun
i trust the stars will guide the way
the breeze will steep each tidal wave
that sat astride these bridle reins
the world will be as one

i wonder if you can disband the brotherhood of man
the dreamer says “no can do, dude”
regarding such suggestion lewd
the dreamer dreams of ceaseless view
too much ado to rue the bloom of flowers in the bones enthroned by juxtaposing leaf tissue
the dreamer dreams each dream for two
reminds us that it isn’t hard to do
provided we can bleed for two
then theme be redesigned, in kind unto
the kind of eyes that dream the skies
awaken sun and moon
the dreamer sees them spun in ones and come undone from twos

you may say i’m a dreamer
i would love it if you do
should that covet disapproval
then i’m buggered ’til i’m blue
with the courage of a lionheart
i’m worlds apart from doomed
for i’ll just dream my little dream
and see each season through

i trust the stars will guide the way
the breeze will steep each tidal wave
that sat astride these bridle reins
the world will be as one
i’m keen to live my life in peace
of steeplechase outrun
you may say i’m a dreamer
yet i am a firm believer
that quite clearly i am not the only one

  1. too much ado to rue the bloom of flowers in the bones

This said so much to me, I don’t want dramatics to wilt my blooming flowers within. LOVE this imagery. Great piece Lion!!
