Ludovico Einaudi “Primavera”

The air that I breathe
Speaks of whispers in the trees
I can taste them on my lips
I can feel their gentle breeze
There are leaves strewn at my feet
Doing just as they please
Reminiscent of midsummer night envisioned once in dream

At the lip of mystic river
I relinquish wistful shiver
As I kick off both my shoes
To proceed through withered reeds
This is something of a leap for me
The stream a little deep for me
Howbeit, I feel instantly relieved
Enraptured this may lead me back to She

If only I could see her face
Could trace it with my fingertips
Then sun and moon would both eclipse
Amidst the gleam of sweet embrace

Each dream I chase a butterfly
From another time and place entirely
Wings mid-shutter winking to remind me
Most politely
Of the kind of famed exchanges long forsaken and estranged
The one fine day the two of us in bloom and thrust became

The air that I breathe
I declare to wear the signature of She
This gown resounds in boundless leaps
Bejeweled the crown of sleek mystique
Even when oblique upon uneven ground
Astounding equilibrium
Permission then to speak of She in romantique Shakespearean

My bounty is as boundless as the sea of dreams we weave
My love goes deeper than the ocean floor; the more ador’d I feel of She
I ne’er saw true beauty ’till the night the sun and moon resumed their serenade
For both we braid and insulate of infinite degree

The river deep and wide confides of She
I see her face so clearly midst the whispers in the trees
She drifts like mist and shifts at will
Vermilion waters overspill
To greet the gentle breeze and feel instantly relieved
Doing just as she pleases
Teasing kisses from her slipstream
Reminiscent of midsummer night relived in boundless dream
