Listen to Breathe by Richard Charles Stevens (Ocean Breeze Suite)

Listen to Ocean Breeze by Blackmill

My heart was open like a flower
As I strode hopeful through the briar
Wild roses whispered of desire
To see each artery inspired
To bleed delightedly the secrets in its temporizing keep
And enlighten the horizon interleaved

The richest yield
Most precious metals
Kissed the fields
Betwixt the nettles
My heart could only wear a tremble
As it glistened on my sleeve
And as the thistles cleaved it open
It no longer felt so broken
Every i Love you unspoken
Dared to breathe

No sooner had the moon approved
Its welcome note to morning dew
Than each wildflower about me cared to bloom
It was midday in the garden
When the earth beneath me hardened
And propelled me to the height of afternoon

My heart felt artful as it mused
Upon the marvel of the view
With not a partial hint of startle
As a sea of diamonds sparkled
Such masterpieces rightful
As they soothed through smooth recital
And my eyes
Once black as pitch
Turned vintage blue

My heart was open like a flower
As I proceeded then to nightfall
Many tall tales had been told
And every one of them was frightful
Yet, if I may be quite so bold
No apprehension was foretold
As I strode willfully through midnight grove entitled
By the breeze
It glistened wildly on my sleeve
Each whisper heightened senses keen
Its tempo dressed the blessèd scene
About me preened
And as the thistles cleaved it open
It no longer felt so broken
Every i Love you unspoken
Dared to
