.
set it free
or let it be
resigned to die the death foreseen
through eyes deprived of evergreen design
.
set it free
or let it be
breathe unapologetically
for there may never be a better time
to take unmeasured leap
and take it blind
.
dare to see the network redefined and amplify the screams assigned to bleeds requested we protectively deny
set it free
or let it be confined and sealed hermetically
decide to be collectively defined
better yet, redress the scene with treasure chests and parapets that oversee the endless seas of convalescent mind
.
all the tools that we possess express request to manifest
evanescence need not stress regression as the best defence
less than zero heroes famed
by claiming essence overspent
slow ascent with shoulders bent and lowered head to death arraigned
drained of ways to maintain pace, remain the same way facing
saving graces understated
fated by each breath berated
vesture cleft by blade serrated
blessings uncorroborated
undressed of our flesh
we’re no less naked
this is when we best address all vested essence populated
tap the vein
be capitaine of flat terrain
enraptured in the flatter of fanatical refrain
.
set it free
don’t let it be berated
by the voice inside your mind
maligned by thoughts
best unnarrated
.
set it free
each burden weighted
let it be proliferated
set your sights on someone’s day
and go some way in kind to make it
.
set it free
and let it breathe the all-embracing air of brave
wildflowers share the fair embrace
disinclined to tired stagnation
basic elevation is the way a nation rises
set it free
and let us be united
.
set it free
or let it be
resigned to die the death foreseen
through eyes deprived of evergreen design
.
set it free
or let it be
breathe unapologetically
for there may never be a better time
to take unmeasured leap
and take it blind
.

  1. I’m a Rose of Sharon in Hebrew and I loved this musical beauty so much. Especially this:

    set it free
    don’t let it be berated
by the voice inside your mind
    maligned by thoughts
    best unnarrated

    1. This was an unusual piece as it is almost like two poems in one. It kind of unfurls in the middle and travels through the thorns back to blossom. I guess the wildflower was prominent in my head when writing. Rose of Sharon in Hebrew. Hell yes. That makes you a wildflower, for sure.
