Weave

Listen to Weave by Richard Charles Stevens

Listen to Journey Through The Victory by Instrumental Core

the only war
worth fighting for
exists within ourselves
the only cause
worth dying for
is written in our cells
for only fools abide the kind of lies that overwhelm
the kind that kiss our lips
decline to tell

somewhere deep in our personal hells
is the longing for all to end well
war is attrition
and such malnutrition
will see our souls bound by abounding condition
refusing permission to live and let live
we take from the one source reported to give
taught that only god forgives
we wait for an epiphany
when all the time we’re sitting on divinity
thinking hostility consitutes industry
sinking in quicksand
disbanded from infantry
standing alone
we condone our own bigotry
choke on our own bile’s astringency
somewhere deep in our personal hells
are the tools we can use to reduce our deficiency
should we peruse with renewed versatility
we can move mountains with ease
we can allude to the true connectivity
lending salute to the trees
for every branch dances when glancing the breeze
and herein lies heart of the weave

the only war
worth fighting for
exists within ourselves
the only cause
worth dying for
is written in our cells
for only fools abide the kind of lies that overwhelm
the kind that kiss our lips
decline to tell

the only love worth striving for
is pure of resolution and belief
the only truth worth pining for
is one unspun of lips that bleed relief
for only eyes that cry confide the secrets in our keep
river wild comprising ocean deep

somewhere deep in our personal hells
are reasons to kiss and permission to tell
whispered provisions to lips as they swell
midst revision of liquescent theme
time it is fluid
in seraphim fields
while definitive yield
spills belief into streams
here is the epiphany
for privy are the beams
to the one dream unequivocally serene
the only war
worth fighting for
entitles us to finding inner peace
letting go of tears revered
to catch them
then release
feed the roots of every tree
for they make sweet
the air we breathe
the only cause
worth dying for
is written in their cells
indeed it’s written in ourselves
in hearts we weave
for eyes that cry can testify the secrets in our keep
river wild comprising ocean deep

the only war
worth fighting for
exists within ourselves
the only cause
worth dying for
is written in our cells
for only fools abide the kind of lies that overwhelm
the kind that kiss our lips
decline to tell

the only love worth striving for
is pure of resolution and belief
the only truth worth pining for
is one unspun of lips that bleed relief
for only eyes that cry confide the secrets in our keep
river wild comprising ocean deep
