tripping on sunshine
sipping on plum wine
lost within a melody divine
hell hath no fury
that could ever overrule me
from venturing with heavenly delight

life or death is not a choice unless we voluntarily decide
all of us possess a voice
alas, for the great many
all addresses lent are heavily disguised
hope has been allegedly denied us as we pride ourselves on tiding ourselves over ’til arriving at last light
clutching tight our four leaf clovers we place onus on disowning all known clues as to the origin of blight

some of us are graced with wings
that spread each time the songbird sings
can hold on to the precious things
are confident in flight
other starlights die and fall by wayside as though playwrights under spotlights at their gravesides undefined

this is why i dare to dream this little dream of mine
you see, i cannot bare to see a kingdom in decline
thus, i thrust my best foot forth
and alter up the course of my trajectory
effectively get lost within a melody divine

have no place for pedestal
essentially a rebel’s cause
eventually it tends to end with getting branded fools while heavy hands then execute their plan to topple us right off it
i don’t do this for the profit
i do this because i must
the world is lacking words right now and i find that unjust
thus i thrust my best foot forth
and trust my intuition
for i have come too far now to decline my voice permission

and should i die before i wake
then i entrust my soul in all who take a single word i say as reason to revise our definition
only human we may be
but maybe therein lies the key
for such intelligent a breed
has every measure then to breathe
all of us are dying
once our lives dress fracture lines
all of us can try and make the best of precious things still left behind

should we be seen with true belief
then destined friends will see us safely getting lost within a melody divine
it really is the only way to fly
it clearly is the reason left to try
sincerely bled we testify
of ventures blessed by second sight
and this is when our eyes commence to shine

tripping on sunshine
sipping on plum wine
lost within a melody divine
hell hath no fury
that could ever overrule me
from venturing with heavenly delight
