I reflect
For every time I witness goodwill
And would fill my quill to overspilling willingly
Revealing my humility
To mirror each divinity I see
To place a great affinity between

Every diamond
Every pearl
I return to sender polished
In the hope—Through spoken word
That it shall never be abolished
Honest to a fault
My thoughts straightforwardly embody
The astonishment of all my eyes confer
Through the tears—They blur
To view the slurring verse of burden
This is when I turn off all the lights and draw the curtains
Hurting for a certain sweet concern upon return
While all about me nervous bridges burn

I reflect
For every time I witness kindness
And would fill my quill to overspilling willingly
Revealing deep humility
To mirror each divinity
To find the fix for blindness

The sadness in my gaze portrays the needful things denied the day
When night invites the blight to stay
Deprives the light its rightful place
Life becomes a rifle range
When sights are set on vital flame
With mindset in a frightful state
We hereby dress reply to hate
Place tumour in the rumour mill
Retreating then to view our kill
One more lunge should break their will
Twist their guts and make them spill
Scoop them up and take our fill
Then play the field and make another monster
To sponsor, woe betide, divide and conquer
Execution less than cute
To make our rivals destitute
Furthering the ruse
Collecting dues accrued
Acerbically construed
Until there’s nothing prideful left to lose
While all about us, blessèd rivers drain
And never will our dreams be quite the same

I reflect
For every time I witness goodwill
And would fill my quill to overspilling willingly
Revealing my humility
To mirror each divinity I see
To place a great affinity between

It is my pride to respect the wish of lingering ellipsis
Wear a rusted pendant
And entrust redundant kisses
Hold on to the memory of friends to me forever
Let go of the bittersweet embrace
The faith within my gaze portrays the need to see them rise from flames
Even in the blindest rage
Devout that they can find the range
Lay waste on the binds that chafe
And stake claim on a quiet place
Reflect the light
Deflect the shade
Until such time as skies unfurl
Every diamond
Every pearl
Deserves to learn its rightful place
Thus reflect
The better days
Caressing our refrain
While all about us, blessèd rivers chain
And never need our dreams be quite the same

I reflect
For every time I witness tenderness
And would fill my quill to overspilling thrillingly
Revealing true humility
To mirror sweet divinity
Articulate togetherness
Leave the waiter tip and make it generous
Trust they will appreciate the sentiment

It is my pride to respect the wish of lingering ellipsis
Wear a rusted pendant
And entrust redundant kisses
Hold on to the memory of friends to me forever
Let go of the bittersweet embrace
The faith within my gaze portrays the need to see them rise from flames
Even in the blindest rage
Devout that they can find the range
Lay waste on the binds that chafe
And stake claim on a quiet place
Reflect the light
Deflect the shade
Until such time as skies unfurl
Every diamond
Every pearl
Deserves to learn its rightful place
Thus reflect
The better days
Caressing our refrain
While all about us, blessèd rivers chain
And never need our dreams be quite the same
