Decline me not the sun
For there is daylight to be spun
Decline me not the moon
For I adore its gentle boon
Decline me not the stars
For they give infinite regards
Decline me not the skies
For they remind the height of mast
Decline me not the heart
For we have never been apart
Marvelling forget-me-nots in bloom

Decline me not the elbow room to breathe
The air of chance
Advance enhanced by the departure of my pardoned disbelief
Decline me not the fallen leaves
For virgin earth is warm beneath
Are here within the garden sworn relief
Decline me not the knots of trees
The ease to be when not to be appears their teardrops lost to me to bleed
Decline me not the hollow
For the sorrows of all yesterdays are best belonged today and gone tomorrow
Decline me not the need to reach the tallest sprawling branches
For this is where goodbyes are always hardest

Decline me not the seed and root to reap a fruitful harvest
Truthfully would never see such tarnished
When the days are darkest
Then shall cultivate regardless
To culminate in something great
To elevate
To undulate
To laminate the streams
Foreseen to animate the dreams believed to lead to eden scenes of sleeveless theme

Decline me not the sun
For there is daylight to be spun
Decline me not the moon
For I adore its gentle boon
Decline me not the stars
For they give infinite regards
Decline me not the skies
For they remind the height of mast
Decline me not the heart
For we have never been apart
Marvelling forget-me-nots in bloom

Decline me not the tartness of my tongue
For it is bittersweet
Decline me not the instruments
Belligerent to bid retreat
Decline me not the nerve to speak
When words prefer unheard retreat
Decline me not the widow’s peak
For here is where I learned to leap
Decline me not the roses thorned
For here is where I chose to fall
Each time I call to all that lies beneath

Decline me not renaissance theme
For I elate in evergreen
Decline me not the motion tween
The light and shade of centrepiece
Decline me not the centuries of passing recollection
Decline me not the brevity to leave lasting impression
Decline me not the gentry
That of gentlemanly stature
For I shall ne’er be careless in my rapture
Decline me not the stars
For they give infinite regards
Decline me not the skies
For they remind the height of mast
Decline me not the heart
For we have never been apart
Marvelling forget-me-nots in bloom

Every breath of me affects the capture of reliance
Life would be the death of me
With compound fractures minused
Decline me not the shattered sword
For every scattered shard affords the tools
To bless the flaws that dress the most adored reflection

Decline me not the kindness
Blindness sights inclined politeness
For my wide eyes prize the stars that shine the brightest
Decline me not the scars I wear
The flesh undressed to tear and share
The better yet to every worst rehearsed when first to nurse despair

Decline me not exposure to each woe to know foreclosure is in no way owed to chosen decomposure
Decline me not this ode composed
Of spoken prose performed
For even in the chill of night
I still incline to rid the blight
Delight in every night I ever mourned
And marvel the forget-me-nots at dawn

When the days are darkest
Then shall cultivate regardless
To culminate in something great
To elevate
To undulate
To laminate the streams
Foreseen to animate the dreams believed to lead to eden scenes of sleeveless theme

Decline me not the sun
For there is daylight to be spun
Decline me not the moon
For I adore its gentle boon
Decline me not the stars
For they give infinite regards
Decline me not the skies
For they remind the height of mast
Decline me not the heart
For we have never been apart
Marvelling forget-me-nots in bloom
