Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Life may see me stalling
As it stonewalls me with snowballing decline
Yet I’m inclined not to deny myself the right to fight
For it feels tired and trite to walk the line
.
As I peek through the Venetian blinds
Stricken blind by recent finds
I glance at an agreement signed
While disinclined to peace of mind
Fall between uneven lines
Each creek incised now streaming light
Giving rise to dreaming eyes
Revealing where the reason lies
.
Stating a persuasive case
For tailoring remaining space
Sustaining faith through waning phase
To flavour of prevailing taste
Reclaiming wasted years erased
By eyes displaced from changing face
For even when I’m spun I run the race
.
Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Life may see me stalling
As it stonewalls me with snowballing decline
Yet I’m inclined not to deny myself the right to fight
For it feels tired and trite to walk the line
.
Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Life may see me stalling
As it stonewalls me with snowballing decline
Yet I’m inclined not to deny myself the right to fight
For it feels tired and trite to walk the line
.
The weighted base of certain burden
Hangs akin to dirty curtain
Slurring verse deferred excursion
Earnest words of cursive sermon
Stirring flight of dreaming eyes
Revealing where the reason lies
I fall between uneven lines
These hurdles then decrease in size
.
Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Here I grow to live and learn
With no concern for ceiling height
Mockingbirds confer
Yet I observe the stillborn blurb to which their scheme relies
Fervent in the swelter as I further try to melt down their receding ice
.
We live in such misleading times
Until such time as reason dies
Seasons pass like creeping vines
Cut strings to all cohesive ties
I fall between uneven lines
My purpose then increases size
.
Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Life may see me stalling
As it stonewalls me with snowballing decline
Yet I’m inclined not to deny myself the right to fight
For it feels tired and trite to walk the line
.
Should falling be my calling
Then I’m all-in at the river blind
Life may see me stalling
As it stonewalls me with snowballing decline
Yet I’m inclined not to deny myself the right to fight
For it feels tired and trite to walk the line
.
Each teardrop falls coercing call
To bleeding eyes reversing course
Those demonised by cursèd thoughts
With glee decline exerting force
No mortal fault too fraught
Pulled taut
No port of call too tall
Caught short
Remorse divorced
Support outsourced
To crawl towards
The vaulting horse
.
Used to be the cooler
Now I’m all about devout to play the table
Lay the cable for a game of life more stable
Thus enable faith too great to waste away
The space to state its case
And raise the stakes with saving grace a staple
.
It’s a given that I’m driven
Long forgiven indecision
For according to a vision
I’ve arisen
Besides there simply isn’t time to walk a line so undefined
When I can climb to height of my ambition
.
I can climb to height of my ambition
I can climb to height of my ambition
I can climb to height of my ambition
.
