C418 “Stranger Think”
Once it appeared I was headed for hell
Time saving shortcuts
I knew them all well
A lifetime of tales
But no story to tell
Hanging lopsided
Standing divided
Stranded
Uninvited
On the night the skies fell
Painted on its pallid lips
The moon it wore a placid kiss
Within which was a secret fit to tell
I closed my eyes
And leaned in close
No charge consigned
No tongue verbose
As one inclined
To leap in blind
I yearned to be lost
In the fluid of time
Weaving pure light
Through the Stygian skies
A ballad of dignified grace
At high tide
Stars all about me
Beholding my rise
From dark of the bracken
To place transcendental of space and of time
I am the sun
I am also the moon
For day and night
Shall forever entwine
One vision in sheer crystalline
Never to be gone too soon
Shining through for everlong
For we are the design
Once it appeared I was headed for hell
The anguish of first light
I knew all too well
Luminescent was my glow
Howbeit, weathered was my shell
Hanging lopsided
Standing divided
Stranded
Uninvited
On the night the daylight came
Tainted not this ageless orb
The sun absorbed my deepest thoughts
Within which was a secret caught in two minds
Pulled taut
Divorced
I closed my eyes
And parted lips
Imparted kiss
Which arrived from the source
As one inclined
To follow my heart
I turned to my soul
To provide its discourse
Breathing fresh air
In the cold light of day
No longer fasting
And wasting away
Stars all about me
Upholding my claim
From brink of collapse
To one place transcendental of residual pain
I am the sun
I am also the moon
For day and night
Forever entwine
A vision in crystalline
Never to be gone too soon
Shining through for everlong
For we are the design
