As sure as a cigarette burns
I return to the place I once turned to face the view of due concern

As sure as a worm turns in topsoil
I yearn for every burden to be lifted
Thus, determining the murmur of a heart of sermon gifted
While imparting psalm unscripted
With a certain charm assisted by the hurts of the afflicted
For they further arm my wish list to return

As sure as the sun burns abide in the skies
I collide with the ellipsis and the moon hereby eclipses
To confide the timely whispers of a mind permissed to drift the mists and shift into another skin entirely
Highly descriptive
My heart is nonrestrictive
As it bargains with the parts of me alarmingly conflicted
While bombarding me with cryptic clues
Of mystic runes
Linguistic cues that I would do well to dispel the swell of lips which kiss to tell a tale of grave foretell apocalyptic

As sure as the irradiance of hieroglyphic lipstick
I persist the skilled persuasion gained of ill communication
Self-contained as I replace each fall from grace with elevation
And my heart nowise remarks of fast starvation

Sped to great elation
Hereby bled of expectation
From the veins of stimulation through the pains of fresh abrasion
In arrangement wed engagement to the bravery to tread
Where fallen angels fear to lay their weary heads

As sure as the dread of a raven misread
I am the claimant of restatement and intent
Nothing left to bear, declare curtailment or repent
For there is little ascertainment in regret
As sure as weeds creep through the cracks in the pavement
I relax my disbelief and reenact the faith of ancients
As the fractured slights of time-worn plights
Unite to fortune mend
For as sure as torsion bends
I am pure zen

As sure as the irradiance of hieroglyphic lipstick
I persist the skilled persuasion gained of ill communication
Self-contained as I replace each fall from grace with elevation
And my heart nowise remarks of fast starvation

As sure as the sun burns abide in the skies
I collide with the ellipsis and the moon hereby eclipses
To confide the timely whispers of a mind permissed to drift the mists and shift into another skin entirely
For as sure as torsion bends
I am pure zen
