negative energy
swirling
conferring of ways to make plain that we’re pinned beneath burden
edges are blurring and walls closing in
choices are dwindling
voices are slurring

hard to resist certain themes when recurring
stay persistently resistant to reversing exertion
wasting precious energy on that which lends essentially to entropy relentlessly uncertain
hurting for answers when not permitting listening
not a solitary crystal glistening

whispering sweet nothings
gifting nothing in return
on a whipping to nothing
nothing shipping but concern
we live to learn
at least that is
when ignorance makes way for bliss
belligerent our human skins
resilient when taking hits
shaking fists to break the myth we’re hurting
victims of vindictive iron curtain

fates are predetermined
less we break misplaced formation
take fraught thoughts for short walks
then straightforwardly replace them
borders need not fool us into falling into line
should we alter course towards sublime diversion

make b-line to the clear line hereby sighted by the uninvited
who are we to lend decree to where it evidently might lead
who are we to feel so beat and bid retreat when questioned
who are we to cry defeat
invite unkind suggestion
who are we expecting that the world turns on our own requested terms
who are we defecting
and then what becomes of bridges when they burn

must we really fidget when the worm prefers to turn
stubborn to our liberty
pernickety when governing our worth
whispering sweet nothings
gifting nothing in return
yet something nifty in the silence stirs

positive energy
swirling
conferring of ways to amaze with the grace it parades
making it plain that the day isn’t slain
once we go against the grain and vote against the reign of pain’s same lame tirade

suddenly the parched earth quenches
ruts mere hushed discernment trenches
havens to consolidate
persuasion to exonerate all those foreseen unworthy to accommodate
who are we to say that they need tolerate dismay
when we’re the ones disgracing angels faced the other way

whispering sweet nothings
gifting nothing in return
on a whipping to nothing
nothing shipping but concern
we live to learn
at least that is
when ignorance makes way for bliss
belligerent our human skins
resilient when taking hits
shaking fists to break the myth we’re hurting
victims of vindictive iron curtain

we live to learn
at least that is
when ignorance makes way for bliss
provisional as life may seem
there is still time to live it keen
exhibit dreams we wish to chase
reiterate at brisker pace
with bitter shame a distant haze
we’re glistening
in crystal phase

still embrace our human skin
yet found a place to muse within
healing hands will soon pitch in
once they hear the tune we sing
once we prove we’re true of wing
faceless frowns are way too awkward
grace a smile and pay it forward
displace south and raise it northward
see all famed devout exalted
whispering sweet nothings
we encourage something timeless in return
once something undiscovered in the stunning silence stirs

still embrace our human skin
yet found a place to muse within
healing hands will soon pitch in
once they hear the tune we sing
once we prove we’re true of wing
faceless frowns are way too awkward
grace a smile and pay it forward
