We have to break
To fix ourselves
We have to hurt
To live to tell
We have to cry
To dry our eyes
We have to die
To feel alive

We have to break
To fix ourselves
We have to hurt
To live to tell
We have to cry
To dry our eyes
We have to die
To feel alive

We have to strive
To be reminded
Line of sight
When faith is blinded
Have to leap that way sometimes
To see our dreamscapes coincide
When nature sings
We have to fly
Our wings suffice their appetite
To break the skies
And paint horizon quaint
Within each fracture line

We have to try
Or else we feint each heartbeat as it passes
We have to reawaken sacred artist
And make a saint of those dearly departed

The fabric of our hearts
Is a mosaic of every star that dies
The tapestry of ancestry
And other fallen braves aside
Loss imparts a cavity
Which threatens to emphatically deny our centres gravity
Unnaturally decline us

With screams behind us amplified
It’s easy to affright
And this is why we must dig deep
To feed the seeds reviving light
Decorating slights and scars
In faith invasive blight will pass
We have the grace and fighting chance
Reclaiming undivided parts
Once we translate each slight advance
As reacquainted hiking path

We have to feel
Devoid of hope
To touch the void
To go for broke
We have to seek
The higher ground
And weave a braid
Of twine around
The peak once claimed unscalable
The dream foreseen attainable
We have to be unchangeable
In deeming selves as capable
Don’t have to be explainable
To those who see us through
For love is irreplaceable
Once willingly enthused

Should the skies above us gloom
Then we must rise to prize the view
With each way out downsized to through
We have a shot
We hold a clue
We have to stop
To think
We have to sink
To swim to brink
We have to cry
To steep the tide
We have to live
To feel alive
Forgive to ever hope to thrive
And redesign
Our line of sight

Have to leap in blind sometimes
To find ourselves
With open eyes
Take note of where the ocean widens
Go for broke to slow subsidence
Know the stars are known for guidance
Once we own their glow inside us

Have to leap in blind sometimes
To find ourselves
With open eyes
Take note of where the ocean widens
Go for broke to slow subsidence
Know the stars are known for guidance
Once we own their glow inside us

We have to strive
To be reminded
