Every star in the skies
Had a clear line of sight
To delight in this fanciful scene
As I perched upon her wings
We proceeded then to dream
Wide awake—We claimed
The greatest in-between
In-between (repeat)
Wide awake—We claimed
The greatest in-between
In-between (repeat)
Wide awake—We claimed
The greatest in-between
As I perched upon her wings
We proceeded then to dream
Wide awake—We claimed
The greatest in-between
In-between (repeat)

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I

Every star in the skies
Had a clear line of sight
To delight in incline of her fanciful flight
As I perched upon her wings
She proceeded then to sing
And my chest felt no longer quite so tight
Had my heart
Burst straight through
I’d have marvelled at the view
For the flowers in my bones
Felt enthroned to dress bloom
Was no question of her beauty
Every breath she stole attested
That hers was masterpiece long since perfected
All circulating arteries connected
All circulating arteries connected
Connected

Would have disappeared without a trace
To be inside her
To make her tummy curl
Would play the infinite provider
Every fallen star I chased
Would thus resemble treasured face
Of every last endeavour
To impress forever after taste
Every fallen star I chased
Would thus resemble treasured face
Of every last endeavour
To impress forever after taste

In-between (repeat)

She cried to testify a love
Above
Beyond
Divine
Beneath the tree of life
We bid omnipotent recline
Her face seemed so familiar
Most similar to mine
Reflection of our perfect imperfection intertwined
Intertwine (repeat)
Reflection of our perfect imperfection intertwined

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
Not I
Not I
For a grown man knows well how to cry
A grown man knows well how to cry

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
A lesser man
Surely would die…
A lesser man
Surely would die…
A lesser man
Surely would die…
A lesser man
Surely would die…
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I

I shed a single tear
Her lips then brushed against my cheek
No question that I blushed
Had never felt such latent heat
Been so uniquely joyous
So exceedingly buoyant
To recline in the eyes of a Queen
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
For a brave Monarch
This day
Was seen
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
For a brave Monarch
This day
Was seen

Every star in the skies
Had a clear line of sight
To delight in this fanciful scene
As I perched upon her wings
We proceeded then to dream
Wide awake—We claimed
The greatest in-between

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
In-between (repeat)
But not I

In-between (repeat)

She cried to testify a love

Beneath the tree of life
We bid omnipotent recline
Her face seemed so familiar
Most similar to mine
Reflection of our perfect imperfection intertwined
Intertwine (repeat)

Reflection of our perfect imperfection intertwined

I felt calm in this place
I felt charmed of embrace
I felt rested
Suggested to bask in her rays
Every colour and shade
Of her autumnal face
Told its tale of prevail
Spoke of dreams yet to chase

The rise and fall of her chest
Against mine
The breath on her lips
And the scent of fresh pine
The unspoken kiss as her eyes then met mine
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
A lesser man
Surely would die…
But not I
A lesser man
Surely would die
But not I
