open my heart’s window
feel her shutter in my veins
.
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
.
the entire cosmos
has been known
to flash before my eyes
every time you bat your lashes
as and when your pose delights
butterflies in strobe enrapture
wings unfurl
spread open wide
captured in mid-shutter
they recover in the light
.
hope returning
faith in kind
hold unburdened
safe in mine
pale the trail of ashes
as they buffer into frameless flight
no osmosis known to weave
such braid of nature’s tone
indeed
the entire cosmos
has been known
to flash before my eyes
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
love me
.
no time like the present
to make sense of ventures blind
arriving neither here nor there
for everywhere is thriving
each adventure mystifying
pupils wide confiding of the universe residing deep inside of them
with luminance
inviting them to prize momentous sight
.
no more steeped a prize in diamonds
in thine keep of ocean deep and wide
no more dignified than she composed to weeping silently
teardrops fall to call all those opposed to freedom violently
each beat of a heart no longer prone
composes ode disowning echelons of woe betide and blight
.
hope returning
faith in kind
hold unburdened
safe in mine
through the never
tethers severed
true the blur of space and time
through the never
tethers severed
true the blur of space and time
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
hold me
love me
hold me
love me
love me
.
it is midnight in the garden of my battle hardened heart
this is where i come to feel
this is where compunction heals
this is where i come undone
this is where blind faith be spun
this is where the thrum reveals
the sense of feeling tendered will
to spill an endless sea of tears
through years of pardoned art
no need to be pensive
fritter inexpensive fears
when I could paint a rainbow from each technicolour tear
roll back many years and watch them scatter in her wake
.
hold me
(feel her shutter in my veins)
love me
(feel her shutter in my veins)
hold me
(feel her shutter in my veins)
love me
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
in no uncertain terms
i yearn the blur of space and time
to learn the song of papillon
the lady of the night
.
