Encore (Chime Suite)

Listen to Encore by Richard Charles Stevens (Chime Suite)

Listen to Chime by Orbital (Eli Brown Remix)

Blood is congealing spontaneously
Healing while peeling off layers of me
Kneeling at altar
Too genteel to falter
My bleeding disorder the making of me
.
As the curtain falls
I pause
To rise up through the ashes of remembrance
Stoke the embers
Poke the flow sensors
And open the receptors
To transcendence
Wherein density is endless
To the depths of me
Requesting leave of senses vested conscientiously
Now sworn dependably
To centre me
Each time life tries perplexing me
I reinforce connective theme
Take pause to steep the nesting sea
For in my keep
The best of me is begging me to think experimentally
And venture forth on altered course less tentatively breathing
(Breathing)
.
Teething halted weaned off teat
Seething forced it to retreat
Cheap imported caution teemed
Before revealing reconvened
.

Blood is congealing spontaneously
Healing while peeling off layers of me
Kneeling at altar
Too genteel to falter
My bleeding disorder the making of me
Brick dust and mortar are vacant you see
Lounging beneath miscellaneous tree
Grounding the breeze with geranium leaves
Devout and decked out with prevailing belief
.

With red cell count dropping
Still getting my head around opting to blossom when consciously forgotten
Living dangerously
Seems behaviourally
The one way that’s remaining to favour elite
Supernature redeemed
Of vivacious esteem
Perched at nape of the stream while it gracefully seeps
Through my veins to release
Leaden chains of freak freed from its leash
And foreseen to be believably unique
Believed to breathe most seamlessly when sleeping
Ceaselessly serene the dreams I’m keeping
Believed to breathe most seamlessly when sleeping
Ceaselessly serene the dreams I’m keeping
.
As the curtain falls
I take a bow
For in the here and now
It’s some way clearer how ovation came about
(Teething halted weaned off teat
Seething forced it to retreat)
Deemed by many as lost cause
Yet still remained devout
While latent shade surrounded me
Pure light cascaded out of me
Awakened me apace to face the crowds
Placed faith in me
To wait each grey day out
Until I figured supernature out
(Before revealing reconvened)
.
Nothing vague about it
For this flame I never doubted
Every blazing vein rerouted
To the now
Pre-eminently great the reverie of vast estate
The kind bereft of daily freight
Disinclined to hefty weight
I can barely wait to venture gaily to the entry gate
When there are worlds to be created
Symphonies to orchestrate
Altered states coordinate the course towards
The course towards
The course towards reported aids
.
As the curtain falls
I pause
To celebrate the autumn haze
Source the traits that best convey
Sedate address expressly made
Here is the ovation that I longed for
And thus such dedication
To my encore
.
Believed to breathe most seamlessly when sleeping
Ceaselessly serene the dreams I’m keeping
.
As the curtain falls
I pause
To rise up through the ashes of remembrance
Stoke the embers
Poke the flow sensors
And open the receptors
