Listen to After The Rain by Richard Charles Stevens (Rainbows In The Sky Suite)
Listen to Rainbows In The Sky by The Hypnotist (Natural High Mix)
Taste the ardour of the rain
.
Rejoice in the unharbour of refrain
.
It was little more than cloudburst
Gone as fast as it became
Yet every flower thirst
To taste the ardour of the rain
Teardrops stained the hardening terrain
Unto the pardoned earth’s reclaim
And I nowise felt so disheartened to remain
The darkened skies then parted
To remarkable amaze
As I embarked upon the voyage of voice untrained
Rejoiced in the unharbour of refrain
Rejoiced in the unharbour of refrain
.
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of refrain
.
.
Like a rainbow in the sky
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
They just keep passing by
I don’t know why
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
They just keep passing by
.
Aeons had passed
In the cold light of day
Untold were the nights
Within which I felt chained
My heart was near felled and my arteries flamed
To speak well and highly of a masterpiece framed
.
It was little more than cloudburst
Gone as fast as it became
Yet every vein that burst
Returned a part of me to hardening terrain
.
I felt entitled to remain
To sight the pardoned earth’s reclaim
And it was little more than cloudburst
In refrain
.
It was nothing less than covenant
To end the trend of sufferance
To bend the rules that govern us
The same curfew that smothers us
My scars remained uncovered
As the rain became my lover
And my naked soul then barrel rolled
As it outstayed its cover
.
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of
Rejoice
Rejoice
Rejoice
Your voice
Rejoice in the unharbour of refrain
.
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
I don’t know why
(I don’t know why)
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
.
(Remain)
(Remain)
.
On another day
I may have faded black
Delayed react
And factored in a multitude of reason
In my head
Ten thousand thoughts
All screaming for endorsement
Yet I needed only one to be believed in
.
One well placed regenerative seedling
One well placed regenerative seedling
One well placed regenerative seedling
.
It was little more than cloudburst
Gone as fast as it became
Yet every flower thirst
To taste the ardour of the rain
Teardrops famed the harvested terrain
Unto the pardoned earth’s reclaim
And I felt faithfully entitled to remain
My ardent lips then parted
To remarkable amaze
As I embarked upon new voyage of choice refrain
Rejoicing every nightfall in the rain
.
I can touch a storm
To sleep
Taste one from a dawning dream
Silence tide of yawning screams
And fortify the falling beams
While soaring high above the clouds
Of ordinance relieved
Supported by the fortune of the breeze
.
I can read the scars
Of trees
And each of them remembrance themes
Beseeching them to tend their tales
Undressing tears of blessèd keep
They weep to seep the sap of years in capture and release
The deadwood that sheds aptly at my feet
.
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
I don’t know why
(I don’t know why)
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Like a rainbow in the sky)
They just keep passing by
.
I can breathe it
Back to life
Belief through wide eyes magnifies
Thus every teardrop sanctifies
The grounds foreseen enraptured rise
Then amplifies each boundless dream
And galvanises seed
Where flowers grow the wildest
Simply be
.
The trees about me reach
Appeased to free the ghosts of old and breathe
I can lead them Home
Redeemed
If only they believe
The dream
I believe
With all of me
That we’re all born to fly
We can touch a cloud
You see
And wake one
With a smile
.
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Wake one with a smile)
(Taste the ardour of the rain)
Like a rainbow in the sky
(Taste the ardour of the rain)
Rejoice in the unharbour of refrain
.
It was little more than cloudburst
Gone as fast as it became
Yet every flower thirst
To taste the ardour of the rain
Teardrops stained the hardening terrain
Unto the pardoned earth’s reclaim
And I nowise felt so disheartened to remain
.
Like a rainbow in the sky
They just keep passing by
Like a rainbow in the sky
Now I know why
.
