Heard amidst
The thermal drift soliciting admission to my bubble

The hedge maze readied checkmate
Thus I trusted my cadet days
To give pet names to the barricades in view

Seemed the best way to make headway
Was to head towards the treadway
Lending dead weight to reanimate in bloom

Rumour had it
Panic had a habit of inhabiting
Doctoring the canny knack for knocking back the Aspirin
Pondering appeared the only clear way back from shattering
Only way to cease the skin unravelling

Essentially abandoning a state of mind some way deprived of sense to me
Canvassing my dreams to such a staggering degree
Amidst the scattering debris
Of that unflattering to me

Amass the gases trapped in me
And breathe them out with dragon teeth
