Tender Loving Murder is a love song, painted from darker tones to celebrate all things macabre.
Listen to Tender Loving Murder by Richard Charles Stevens (Go Bananas Suite)
Listen to Go Bananas by Little Big
I could literally murder the fuck out of you
Wait until you’re alone in your bed
Bundle a polythene bag on your head
Suffocate you until stone cold and dead
To breathe you back to life again
Breathe you back to life again
Breathe me back
Breathe me back
Breathe it back to life again
.
I would plunge an eight inch Bowie knife
In both of those eyes
Twist until such time
As any twitching subsides
Just to watch the light inside them die a death
Then on the final breath request the home fires reignite again
.
I would hang draw and quarter you
Subject you to torture no right mind would oversee
(Yes)
(Yes indeed)
Cauterise your stab wounds then jab until they weep
Stitch you midsection of a vaguely human centipede
Drug you to the eyeballs and impregnate with the demon seed
See you overcome each evil deed with ease
.
Indeed if I need further impede your breathing
I’d place my hands around your throat
Commence to greatly squeeze
Wait until your colour drains
Oxygen cuts from your brain
Release my grip
Kiss your pale lips
Then fill your lungs with fresh clean air to breathe again
.
Breathe me
Breathe me
Breathe me
Breathe me
Breathe me back
Breathe me back
Breathe me back to life again
Breathe me
.
I could murder you clinically
Act out impulse wickedly
Bleed you with a diamond cutter
Leave you to die in the gutter
Know precisely what has gotten into me
Rotten love
The very worst
Absurd to first degree
.
Rotten love
The very worst
Absurd to first degree
.
Rotten love
The very worst
Absurd to first degree
.
From one extreme to quite another
Fallen angels run for cover
Death has long since been your lover
Life my mortal enemy
And what way more romantic to attain insane longevity
.
No need to feel beaten
Defeated or blue
You can murder the fuck out of me
For free too
.
Please stab me and shoot me
Then electrocute me
Slash the late riser for sleeping too mutely
Fashion a geyser to bleed me acutely
Lust for my insides
And flush them right through me
.
One kiss before dying
My one sole request
Consoled as you thrust butter knives in my chest
To suffer such delights
Is my divine affright caressed
Proud owner of one feeling beating heart
.
Life without you equates ten thousand deaths
You host the feline who ghost wrote Macbeth
Not a hatchet or hacksaw could prise us apart
Endeavour to sever our one vital part
Forever at leisure
Together our pleasure
Shall never death stare tear apart
.
Forever at leisure
Together our pleasure
Shall never death stare tear apart
.

I rotten love this so fucking much, I could kick you in to the beat of that funky ass chicken percussion.
Seriously though, this is excellent. It’s funny, clever, serious, tender and very loving if you actually take the time to listen to all components collectively. To utilise Little Big again thrills me as they’re another band who are in their own category so now you’ve added something even more substantial to music I like, another myriad of sides which is, dare I say, a wonderful gift to me.
A few of your songs I’ve boldly took ownership of because they tick off all my little boxes and I guess that’s the whole point of music: it connects with people.
I’m off to find the angle grinder 🖤
