Nothing’s ever quite like how it seems
Some things rarely ever seem to change
In my dreams I lounge beneath the oldest wisest tree
Where no two dreams have ever been the same
.
Out here on the open range of my imagination
Broken chains are token decoration
Hopeful veins agape as I bleed calmly each commotion
Rose red river charming wake of enterprising ocean
Free from laboured motion
I shift swiftly through the drift of mist
Kissing lips equipped to taste devotion
My eyes are closed
Yet still remain wide open
Skies composed of symphony that’s principally my own
If only I were not alone
Then maybe this exotic zone would not be so historically unknown
.

No more hot a topic than Utopia homegrown
Some place chronic pain dissuades the chaperone
I can show you how to fly
First you need to know to try
Unbeknownst to wonder why
Forego woe that underwrites
Leaps of faith need never fail
Regardless of our weathered sails
Go the distance
Go it twice
Upgrade to thrice
Then multiply
Activate the open mind declined by too much overtime
Faith is blind
Embrace in kind
Traipse the lines of famed design
Break the bind of space and time
For neither have great place assigned
.
Easy come and easy go
Every secret need to know
Nothing sacred
Faith disowned
Smile lines fading
Days from home
.
Waking life mimics each dream we exhibit
Only when seasoned to breaking the limits
Life will impede once the cynics mislead us to reasoning allegiances as flitting
If only we were not alone
Then maybe these exotic zones would not be historically unknown
Tropics of aligned design are opulent in binding twine
Tropics of aligned design are opulent in binding twine
Faith is blind
Embrace in kind
Eyes wired closed
Yet open wide
Break the bind of space and time
Unbeknownst to wonder why
I can show you how to fly
If only you propose to try
.
Try
.
Nothing’s ever quite like how it seems
Some things rarely ever seem to change
Wide awake or fast asleep
I lounge beneath the oldest wisest tree
To show two dreams can truly be the same
